Mission Statement

Luna Del Pinal design artisanal+ articles, constructed by hand in their Guatemalan atelier, in support of the local community and its textile ancestry.

Purpose

The brand coined the term “artisanal+” to illustrate the primary intention of showcasing and protecting artisanal skill above commercial gain.

The brand also practices financial transparency: every season they share a breakdown of expenditure in order to explain their pricing, the costs involved in production, and the wages their stakeholders receive.

Luna Del Pinal is adopting an outside-in approach that aims to re-evaluate how they defines success within the context of our climate crisis.

Pillars

ARTISANAL+

Preserve traditional methods of textile construction within each collection — such as hand embroidery, natural dyeing, or backstrap weaving — and nurture the relationship between hand and material.

TRANSPARENCY

Continue practicing and platforming financial transparency making our process visible to fully understand the story behind our pieces.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND COMMUNITY

People remain at the centre of fashion, from supporting artisan families in need to working towards fair living wages and long-term resilience.
